Lounge Suit... time to dress up.

next friday... mavcap dinner... lounge suit. hmmmm... intersting. what to wear? browsed thru some website and found this...
from top to bottom -

NECK - tie is required. bow ties are acceptable but are very unusual and should be avoided. top button of the collar must be done up. tie pins are out of fashion and avoid novelty items...

JACKET - suit should be a dark colors which are best for evening occasions. take note, during the day, dark colors are suitable for winter and lighter for summer... well, mine will be held in the evening. so i have to go with dark.

TOP - Dress shirt must be collared. clean and well pressed with white as the safest color. it will be ideal to have a french cuff shirt and be worn with cufflinks.

BOTTOM - Suit pants must match the jacket... so, i guess a formal business suit would suit nicely in this explanation.

ANKLES - Dark socks ideally the same color as your suit. at least as dark as your suit. please no logo or pictures and avoid novelty item.

ACCESSORIES - cufflink should be worn with your french cuff dress shirt. again avoid novelty item. watches should be a nice dress watch. will be nice if you can avoid the fancy colored watches. you are going for a dinner not a race.

well at least i have everythg and just need to sort what goes with what. maybe i need a new shoe... heheheheh! shoe?!!! again?!!! more?!!! well a new black shoe actually... to go with the new suit...

Wedding - should be a simple word but have become a complication to all! it should be as easy as 1, 2, 3... somehow it turns out to be a rocket science... rocket science sometimes isn't this difficult. malay wedding especially is a big complication. it does makes me stress! doesn't matter who i discuss it with, the whole thing always makes me stress.

talking about malaysian wedding - from the need to save to the planning of the big day to the big day itself. all things have to go thru the culture that have been link with it long ago. how would a person like me who have only started working to have a big saving to cater to all the expenses associate to it? few friends of mine take up loans to get married. why? because how ever you work, in this current economy situation, money will never be enough.

malay wedding have 3 occasion - if i can call it occasion - to plan for. merisik, bertunang, nikah + bersanding. (what the F is it in english... i don't even know) all need so many things to prepare for... doesn't matter if it is the bride or bridegroom... both have to prepare for so many things and it requires money! lots and lots of money... sometimes i do not understand why do we have to go thru all this big celebration... my gf said the life after the big day is more important than the big day celebration... well, i do agree with her. its not us who wants things to be so big but its our parents. they have so many friends to invite, sometime so many VIPs to invite too... MONEY! MONEY! MONEY! not that i do not want to get marry but i do have to wait till i am stable enuf to be able to watch after my family... AND i wanna give my wife something great for her to remember. its not that we get marry every year anyway.  it is not easy and never will...

KL... Kesesakan lalulintas... bagai isi dan kuku, ibarat aur dgn tebing!

pagi2 jam... ptg2 jam... tghari confirm jam gak... mlm pun jam... ntah bila masa la yg tak jam. keluar awal, jam... keluar lambat, jam... mmg kena la peribahasa2 yg ada - ibarat aur dgn tebing, bagai isi dan kuku, seperti irama dan lagu! hahahaha! lately KL hujan pagi... fuh! weather dh mcm kt Zurich tp sesaknya mcm jakarta bak kata kwn aku sorg... naik kete jam... naik motor jam gak... abis tu camne? redha dan redah je la ye tak? takkan sebab jam taknak g keje? hehehehe! masuk KL je jam... jam je masuk KL... JAM! JAM! JAM!... boleh jam kepala otak aku. buat sakit jiwa.
